What makes civilian life so hard, why can I not adjust?
Coming back from service, or even off the clock from being an Officer, or EMS and trying to get back to "normal".
Adapting to Civilian life, to non work life is a hard adjustment.
Living in fight or flight mode for so long, nothing seems to be “normal”
Where are all the loud noises, the people watching me in the streets?
I do not want to be around people,
I just want to be alone and not have to worry about what is around me.
Why do I want to tell my story to a stranger?
I am tired of talking about what I do,
people do not understand why I am the way I am,
they do not understand why I just want to be alone,
I do not always want to talk about
my day,
my tour,
my anything.
Therapy is a place to talk about you, and your feelings.
We will take one step at a time.
Maybe you do not need to talk about what has happened at work,
but maybe you just need a place to say
I don’t know what’s next.
Maybe I just want to find a way to talk things through that are happening now,
not what happened then.
I just want to move forward.
Therapy looks the way you want it to
We only ask the questions that pertains to the topics you want to talk about.
We will venture down what story you want to when you are ready.
Having a space to not feel pressured,
a place to come and paly a game of chess, checkers,
or meet Jetta Bug, Jennifer's animal assisted counseling partner.
Not sure if therapy is right for you, maybe there is “nothing” wrong but others say maybe you should talk to someone
Give us a call for a free consultation
have a space to just be you,
talk about what it
means to come
